Alan Jackson 3/8/15

It was Five 'o Clock Somewhere yesterday, and that place was Rodeo Houston! I went again with my Co-op buddies to see Alan Jackson in concert! I'm not a big fan of country music, but when Five 'o Clock Somewhere came on even I was singing along! I can very much relate to that song especially after working at GE for two semesters. Adrian Diaz bought me and Elicia Trello hats! Which was surprising and awesome! Then afterwards Adrian and I had some awesome bro time playing Super Nintendo and talking about life!

Chainsmokers 3/6/2015

Don't worry guys, I'm all set to drive! I just gotta find my keys... but first.... LEMME TAKE A SELFIE! Haha!

I am not sure what to expect from this concert, but I will share my impressions and pictures below and post them afterwards.

Afterwards...
I am officially deaf! It's a good thing the last thing I heard was the bass drop! One of the best concerts I've ever been to! Although I realize now that I really need to improve my dance skills! I feel the need to yell everything since that sounds like normal talking! But I seriously don't understand how to dance when there are always 4 people within two inches of you. Tonight was a learning experience I suppose. Haha either way it was nice to spend some time with my new friends. And this was really an experience that honestly I have avoided having in the past. I'm really glad I came.

 Selfie time!

Groupie! Is that a word? ...is selfie a word?

Chainsmokers' awesome entrance.

Rodeo Houston 3/4/15

As I left work yesterday I was stopped by a coworker and given two free tickets to the Houston Rodeo. I ended up using just one, but even alone it was one of the best experiences I've had since I moved to Houston. If you live in Houston and haven't been yet, I strongly recommend you check it out! I finally saw the typical Texas cowboys (and cowgirls) that I expected to see everywhere when I first moved down here. I expect it will be hard to match the level of 'merica!-nism that I experienced last night. I was spectator to a night of bull riding, beer drinking, fireworks indoors, and soldiers repelling down from the ceiling of a football dome with a giant american flag! It was enough to make even a skeptic like me feel a taste of that love for our country that every Texan bears deep in their hearts.

Intro

Hello to all who may be interested!

I am a rising junior at Clarkson University who took a co-op this semester working for GE in Houston, Texas. Having grown up in the countryside of Upstate New York, this has been quite a culture shock! I am a seeker of adventure, thrills, and awe-inspiring views, and I'm hoping to share those with you on this blog as I spend the next few months exploring texas! Please enjoy, and feel free to make comments!
